Throughout the years it has become common knowledge that if a wrestling promotion is going to be successful it needs to establish a identity. We have seen promotions such as the original ECW be identified with hardcore wrestling. WWE in its current state is known to fans as a promotion that is very kid friendly.
The problem with TNA is that we really dont know what it is.
TNA started off as a promotion that was very dedicated to in-ring work. They showcased the X division which some might argue even surpasses the work of the old WCW cruiserweight division.
TNA was also known for having a six-sided ring and having a top notch women’s division. The problem is that ever since TNA has gone after veterans, we no longer really have a sense of what the promotion is.
The introduction of the Main Event Mafia in TNA led many wrestling fans to believe that TNA was looking a lot like WCW. TNA was starting to be comprised of many former WCW wrestlers. This introduction of older veterans only intensified when TNA hired Hogan.
Since the hiring of Hogan we know have Bubba the Love Sponge, Nasty Boys, and of course Scott Hall and Sean “Sixx-Pac” Waltman. I believe that having veterans to familiarize the audiance with the product is a good thing.
Since Hogan has joined the show ratings have increased which has led to Spike TV allowing TNA to broadcast on Mondays. The problem occurs when veterans are not being used to put over new talent.
Ever since Hogan debuted on TNA we have seen that many original TNA talent has been neglected. The X division has lost some of its brilliance and the TNA Knockout divison is at an all-time low.
Having said that the show is barely going into Monday and there are a lot of things that could change. My hope is that Russo, Bischoff, and Hogan can learn from the past failure of WCW and make TNA a success.

I agree 100 perdect dude. TNA seems ok with just having a cheap knock off of the Monday night wars and that is just a bad idea.
